DIY: bead bowl

We’re always running out of places to store our everyday jewelry, so when we saw this DIY on Pinterest  we couldn’t wait to try it out. Follow our instructions below and start your own!

1. Supplies oven safe bowl, cooking spray (like PAM), pearler beads. Preheat your oven to 400 degrees. Warning:  There is a smell that comes along with this project (melting plastic). We strongly recommend opening a window while you’re cooking the beads.

2. Take the cooking spray and coat the entire bowl that you will be placing the beads in. Once coated, put your beads into the bowl. Make sure you coat all the places you want those beads to stick!

3. Place your bead bowl into the oven and set the timer for 10 minutes. Our bowl took about 15-20 minutes to start melting, but you should stick with it and make sure it doesn’t melt too much (then it will be too hard to get out!)

4. Once it’s cooled for about 5- 10 minutes, take a spoon and start to remove the bead bowl. It should come out easily if you used enough cooking spray in the bowl. Now you’re finished! We let ours finish cooling overnight, then washed it off the next morning because some of the cooking spray lingered. What color combos will you be trying?
